The essentials
Your account and workspace data support the features you request. Google sign-in uses basic identity permissions. No payment is collected during the seven-day trial.
Who is responsible
Rankplain is an ecommerce SEO service operated by Rank Enabled Ltd. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit rankplain.com, create an account, use a workspace, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@notourshop.com.
Information we collect
Account information includes your name, email address, account identifier, sign-in method, and trial start date. Email-and-password accounts store a password hash rather than your readable password. Google accounts store your Google account identifier, verified email address, and name.
Workspace information includes the domains, keywords, markets, devices, groups, notes, ranking results, and other records you save. If you enable a connection, we process the permissions, credentials, and data needed for that connection. Support messages contain the information you choose to send us.
Our hosting services can process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and errors to deliver and secure the service.
Google sign-in and Google data
Google sign-in requests basic identity permissions: OpenID, email, and profile. We use the returned identity to authenticate you and create or recognise your Rankplain account. We do not receive your Google password. Google sign-in does not grant access to Gmail, Google Drive, or your advertising accounts.
A separate Google service connection, if you choose to enable one, requests its own permissions and uses the authorised data to provide that connection in your workspace. Sign-in alone does not enable these connections.
We use Google data to provide the features you request, keep the service secure, and comply with applicable law. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Rankplain’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke Google access through Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future authorised access; it does not automatically delete records already saved in Rankplain. Contact us to request deletion.
How we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts, maintain workspaces, enforce trial and usage limits, run requested ranking checks and imports, provide exports, respond to support requests, and protect against misuse. We also use website analytics to understand how the website is used.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our agreement with you for requested services, legitimate interests for security and service administration, consent where required for optional processing, and legal obligations where applicable. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Retention and security
We retain account and workspace records while needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, support, and legal purposes. A trial ending makes the workspace read-only; it does not automatically delete your records. You may request deletion by emailing us.
After an approved deletion request, we remove information from active systems unless we need to retain particular records for legal obligations, disputes, or security. Copies in provider backups may remain until those backups expire under the provider’s retention process. We do not promise a fixed automatic deletion period.
We use HTTPS, protected session cookies, password hashing, and account-scoped access controls. No system can guarantee complete security. Keep your account and any connected provider credentials secure.
International processing
Our infrastructure and service providers may process information outside your country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate contractual or other recognised safeguards. Contact us for questions about processing locations and safeguards.
Your choices and rights
You can edit supported workspace records, export saved ranking data, disconnect supported connections, and clear browser-stored preferences. Contact hello@notourshop.com to request access, correction, account or data deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to data portability, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Deleting data and cancelling any future paid subscription are separate actions.
Children and policy updates
Rankplain is intended for business use and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date on this page shows the latest update. We will provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate.
